If your favourite week of the year is spent on top of the Mountain at Bathurst, Summernats 2013 will be your second favourite week.

Some Bevans might put them the other way round but either way it is one of the best fucking weeks a Bevan can have.

Rose Tattoo have just been announced as the headline act for 2013 and for this Bevan nothing is more appropriate. It shits me right off when other motor events use overseas acts to promote our Aussie events. Always use our rockers I say.. Australia Mate.

The annual Street Machine Summernats Car Festival, proudly supported by Rare Spares, is Australia’s biggest horse power party.

Created by renowned revhead Chic Henry in 1988, the Summernats has taken on a life of its own and become a genuine Aussie icon.

Every year, up to 1500 of the toughest Australian elite street machines descend on Exhibition Park in Canberra. Coming from around Australia and the world, this incredibly diverse tribe gathers to show off their love of the street machine to an Summernats 2013. Bigger than everenthusiastic crowd of over 85,000 people

The Summernats delivers three and a half days of high octane extreme auto action including Australia’s top street machine judging competition, the world’s best burnout battle, precision driving demos, horsepower heroics, and more.

It’s all set against a backdrop of burnt rubber, rock and roll, and one of Australia’s biggest motor retail trade shows as we search for the Street Machine Summernats Grand Champion.
